Excuse me MR radio broadcaster....

I didn’t hear a qualification.

At halftime, they mentioned it again and the graphic (and commentator) mentioned with at least 7 bowl games having been coached.

A little college football knowledge should have alerted the viewer from knowing that there had to be some sort of minimum games played. Shawn Elliott has been a head coach for one year (Georgia State) and just won his first game. I am sure there are others.

IMHO, they needed that qualifier to make the statistic more interesting, and pertain to their own broadcast. If just picking a number, seems like "at least 10 games" would make sense; why 7?

I was thinking the same thing, what makes the number 7 the defining threshold?

How many head coaches have coached in at least ten bowl games? I'm guessing there are a lot more who have been in a minimum of seven. Of course, you can't go with one or two since that isn't really much of a sample.

Whittingham is now 11-1 in bowl games. That's an amazing record considering two were the Sugar and Fiesta Bowls.
