Fancher just took a late hit and was injured. Had to be carted off with what looked to be a very painful throwing shoulder injury. With time left in the first quarter, he had completed 67% of his passes for 70 yards already.

What was he 6 of 9 for 70 yards.

4 of 6 for 68. His 3 drives - punt-punt-downs. No points.
He had two drives. Why lie when you know it’s easy to see the truth? He was hurt on the third drive on first down after having just completed a 34 yard pass. He got three snaps on that drive. The backup got four snaps.

After Fancher moved the ball into ECU territory, the backup produced -8 yards on four snaps and a turnover on down. So yeah, tell me who was better.

His backup led a TD drive on the next possession.

How about transparency, dishonest one? On that TD drive, FAU moved the ball to the ECU 35 all on runs, none of them from the QB. Must have been a hard gig.

After that drive, the backup followed with a 3-and-out, another 3-and-out, a drive (one play) stopped due to halftime, an interception, and then another interception.

I guess you just forgot about the rest, huh?

For some reason, you hate acknowledging that Fancher would have been valuable to have on this year’s team. For some reason, you hate acknowledging that Fancher was good enough to be a starter on both FBS teams he was on for at least three years.

Your dishonest post is almost as bad as when you lied by purposely inferring that he was pulled for throwing an INT, when you knew that wasn’t the case.

Was he in on the first three drives?

Yes.

Did those drives end punt-punt-downs?

Yes.

Did the backup lead them to a TD on their 4th possession?

Yes.

In other words, my post was 100% accurate. Why don’t you like it when others use your methods in their posts?

Through 5 conference games last year we had scored 89 points. Same point this year we have scored 175.

We sure miss Fancher, don’t we rifle?

That probably has absolutely nothing to do with a new OC, a bunch of new starters, playing a weaker conference schedule through the first five games, etc., huh?

It must be nice to keep making foolish arguments, then when exposed for them, fall back on “well, I’m just trying to argue like you.”

As I’ve said the entire time, many G5 programs would have Fancher as their starter. The rest would me thrilled to have a player of his capabilities as their backup.

Fancher is terrible and FAU is terrible. Besides the Lane Kiffin years, FAU has not been a good program no matter who the coach is. They can throw a softball out of their stadium and hit 50 3* or above, but when its "pick your section day" every home game, I imagine its harder to recruit there than most people think. Same goes for FIU....

What you can say, in terms of geographic location, he probably made the correct decision.

All Fancher needs is three months to spend with the quarterback whisperer and he's sure to be an NFL draft pick.
I’m sure that Rifle will volunteer to work with Fancher after the season for a few weeks to “coach him up” to the point that he is a sure fire NFL draft pick just to show all you “doubting Thomases” on this board!!

He would fit in well in Chicago. I saw they have gone 23’possessions without a TD. That’s his strength.

No Hate for Fancher and he gave it his all here.
That said Braxton > Fancher
I like both our QBs better than Fancher. I think the Fancher hate comes from the wierd man crushes around here for the Pennington name and wanting his son to start no matter what. Fancher did struggle on some things and was not a polished D1 QB but he was more than adequate last year before getting hurt in the NC State game. So, quoting his performance as an injured QB in conference play last year is a little disingenuous.

Oh well...he's gone, I wish him the best and think the public back lash he got last year was totally unfair and uncalled for but, I like the QBs we have this year and I think we can stop bashing the kid now that he's gone.
