FAU Fires Partridge

I'm not worried about what other programs are doing, who they're hiring. Marshall would have a losing record in FCS. F playing for championships, we need to learn how to complete a forward pass or make a tackle.

For those who do not think getting rid of Doc is the answer just remember this season next year (and years to follow with Doc at the helm). I hope I am the one who is wrong.
Unless some major changes are made within that staff for younger, energetic, up and coming assistant coaches then we are doomed until Hamrick (or President Gilbert) fires Doc. I think season ticket renewals (lack thereof) will send the appropriate signal to the athletic department and the presidents office.

FAU fired a coach for going 3-9, 3-9, 3-9. Not because supposed "rival" FIU hired a guy who coached Miami (the real one) into probation when current recurits were in diapers.

Doc is 10-4, 13-1, 10-3 and, yes, 3-9.

When Doc is 3-9 two or three more times, give me a call. When this ABERATIONAL year is long forgotten, have the courage to admit you know very little about how college football works.

You fail to mention Doc's overall record against FBS teams, Mac squads and the previous losing seasons. And from reports in SFLA, the hiring of Butch Davis by FIU played a role in Partridge not getting another year.

Doc has won 13 games in 7 seasons over FBS teams that finished with a winning record...

now imagine what that record would be if he was still playing the old CUSA schedule and didn't have a couple of 7-6 MTSU schools a year to beat...

Missed all those posts from the past three years where you football geniuses pointed out that, really, we were not all that. All I see is people excited and happy. Maybe my browser needs upgraded?

By all means, fire the coach for one bad year. Maybe we can get Kiffen? Maybe Miles? Or perhaps Meyer can fake a heart attack and move to an easier conference, again?

Oh, I know what you guys are going to say. "Get a hungry rising star assistant or I-AA coach". Despite the fact that you could not pick 5 such men out of a police lineup.

Fact is this is a C- job and we have, save for this ONE YEAR, a coach that has over-achieved and an AD that has vastly over-achieved.
