Houston, we have a problem.......
Crap and I have not even responded yet. LOL
Houston, we have a problem.......
I guess that's why he "retired" from DIA under Obama......
Interesting that not one word on what he supposedly said to the Ruskies.
Trump fired Flynn.
.
And just discussing the sanctions before the current Administration took office was in and of itself over the line. Flynn is a lifer and knew better. You exchange pleasantries, offer than the phone will be answered if we can be of assistance to something in our mutual security interests, and wait until later to get down to brass tacks.
That's the point. No one is offering any facts that say that this was the actual conversation. A lot of assumptions and hearsay by media reports. No real facts to what was actually talked about.
Uh huh. Flynn would still be there if it didn't happen. Trump doesn't give a fvck if he did it or not, he doesn't care if a line was crossed. The firing is about Pence looking like a stooge. If it really didn't happen, that isn't an issue.
So it was political.
Nuh uh. Flynn died in the Bowling Green Massacre.
I was watching something and they said Trump was willing to let the facts come in and investigate but when they found out he lied to Pence, he fired him.
Bullshit. Pence went on TV January 15th and repeated that no sanctions were discussed. Trump was made aware that was not the case on January 26th. Pence was not told this by Trump and learned he was lied to on February 9th from a WashPost report.

What to make of all this? There are three possibilities.
1.) Trump thought it would blow over and then realized it would not, and thus canned Flynn.
2.) Trump came to his senses and realized he cannot trust someone who would lie to the VP.
3.) Pence is royally pissed and Trump came to his senses and realized Pence is his point-man on the Hill and cannot be left pissed off and thus canned Flynn.
The truth is some combination of #1 and #3. #1 has been reported, and #3 is my speculation that assumes Trump has some sense of how politics works (and if he does is certainly debatable).
Trump better get his head out of his ass and realize Pence can either be his best asset or the man that stabs him right in the back. It is no secret Pence is MUCH more liked on Capitol Hill and within the GOP than Trump. If Pence wanted to, Trump could get a fvcking parking ticket and Pence could get the votes for impeachment and conviction and take his place. The numbers are only 24 and 19. Easy peasy. I don't like Pence but he is no dummy and certainly no one's stooge.
I think we are pretty much agreeing.
The timeline shows us to be in disagreement. Trump knew he lied on January 26th. Trump was going to let Pence be played as a fool. That's not a good idea, and that's why I wrote the second part of my post. There has been no President as unliked by his own party this early in his administration since Lincoln, and Trump ain't Lincoln when it comes to playing politics.
Hey was fired less than 3 weeks later. That's pretty quick especially for government. The timeline shows us to be in disagreement. Trump knew he lied on January 26th.
