Football Is Over. Can We Move On?

We are CUSA East Division Champs, Conference USA Champs, and Boca Raton Bowl Champs. We are 13-1. What is left to discuss about this seasons past schedule and bowl game? Time to put football to rest until Spring ball then crank it up again. Now we can pick the basketball team/s to pieces (men and women). Happy New Year!

1) Not to be demeaning women's sports or anything, but if we're talking about Marshall's women's basketball team on here... It's a really slow day.
2) Why talk about a crappy basketball team that is in an obvious rebuilding effort when it's so much more fun to talk about a great football team.
3) I like getting everyone's early opinions on who'll be starting next year / how good we'll be / who we're recruiting.

Just savor a fine season, chill out and lay back. Cheer on the basketball team; they may not win many games but are improving and are fun to watch. If memory serves me right, National Football Signing day is February 2nd. And then let's see what Danny & Co. can do when it's their turn to recruit. Still need a baseball stadium.

If by "moving on" we mean stopping the uninformed snipping about the (100% correct) decision about the bowls, then yes, t is time to move on. Tim makes some good points.

Fact is:

The rest of the bowl season plays out, and Boise State Community is going to get waxed, and when the polls come out we should be ranked. CUSA is clearly the best of the G5 leagues in bowl results. MWC is MASSIVELY overrated.

Signing day is coming. Expect great things.

Draft day is too. Might see some names called.

Basketball is a dumpster fire. Not really DD's fault, left with nothing by a bad coach. Is what it is, need to see what happens in recruiting and enjoy the couple of wins that will randomly happen.

Baseball remains homeless (and will play early in Beckley because Charleston got re-sodded and is not available until mid-April). Minor sports and women's sports are just sideshows, although the women's basketball seems to have turned the corner from dumpster fire to just bad or even mediocre. Nobody much cares anyway.

I totally agree. In fact I plan on seeing the women tomorrow night for the first time this year.
