Marshall Football's Director of Player Personnel, Will Drew, has left to accept an assistant director of player personnel title at Minnesota. He was just promoted to that role a few months ago.

Usually. you see P5 staffers leaving for a G5 program due to a title increase (for instance, going from assistant director to director). In this case, the director of a G5 is going to a P5 to be an assistant, which is both unusual and concerning.

More, Marshall has promoted their assistant director of player personnel to their director position. He's a graphic artist.

Maybe the way it works is evolving. Might be better to be a #2 at a have than a #1 at a have not. I mean you have P5 HCs moving to coordinater positions at the mega schools. It’s a new world.

I'd say he's already seen the writing on the wall and just taking the first road out. There's been rumors that one way or another Huff won't be here in 2025. I just hope the administration is already planning the process to fill the inevitable vacancy.

Valid point. Possibly more money, though for long term growth, I am not sure it is the best method. Knowing the lack of a contract extension for Huff may have played a part.

I'm going to have to think he received a decent pay raise, one that more than covers the cost of living increase in moving to Minneapolis, along with the huge increases in inflation we've seen take place over the last few years.

You need to start showing Coach Stowers a little respect and stop walking the thin line with your posts . . . and by "thin line," I am not referring to the blue one that I stomp over when I discuss the need to reduce police funding.
