For your viewing dipleasure

It's honestly embarrassing for Herd fans and for the league to have a late season game that is this meaningful not be available on TV.

While I agree with everything previously said, you can buy the all-acess and watch tonight on your computer for like 9.99. Sucks, but it's an option I guess. My buddy and I are doing that

It's down right pathetic. I guess I don't fully understand this stuff but why couldn't they just say "sorry xxxx but we have to put this game on so your game is getting dropped". There should be room to do these things because you can't predict what a team will do.

Can you just get a game on TV that wasn't originally scheduled to be on TV? I have not idea just asking. All I can say is in defense of CUSA when the TV lineup was set no one believed Marshall would be where we are and this game mean have this much on the line.

CUSA's poor TV scheduling leaves huge conference match up off the air.
I posted this earlier. ASN covers 8-10 conferences, not just CUSA. Back in Sept their execs had to sit down and look at all the games scheduled for tonight in all those leagues. Why would they think televising a game where the #9 picked team in CUSA was playing the conference #1 team would be such a smart thing to do??

I agree with what you are saying but what should have been done is not assign late season games to a channel. They could have been "wildcard" games and set a couple weeks ago. This game could have easily been added to the schedule a few weeks ago if a game was TBA. Things like that happen in football all the time. Everybody already knew date and time....CUSA plays Thursday-Saturdays so the last two weeks or so could have been TBA. CUSA put themselves in a bind by scheduling the games. Heck if I was a network (whether Fox, CBS or ASN) I would prefer to have a chance to pick up the best game late in the season instead of some of the other games. ASN has WKU at MTSU at 7:00 ET and North Texas at La. Tech at 9:00. FSN has UTEP at ODU at 7:00. Now the WKU-MTSU game might draw some viewers but Marshall at UAB would have been perfect to slide into the 9:00 window.

Here is the AAC tv deal for basketball:

In men’s basketball, all conference controlled games will be televised.

  • More than 63 percent of the games will be carried on national broadcast or national cable, which will be a minimum of 107 games.
  • The entire conference postseason basketball tournament will be on national television. The championship game will be televised on ABC or ESPN.
In women’s basketball, there is tremendous national and regional coverage.
  • Nearly 60 games will be televised on national cable, regional sports networks and ESPN3, including the entire women’s basketball postseason tournament. Eighteen regular-season games will be televised nationally.
  • The women’s basketball tournament championship game will be on ESPN or ESPN2. The semifinals also will be on national cable
