I've been clamouring for a third option for years, partially because "free trade" is a modern Republican cornerstone (no matter what Trump is selling you) and partially because the Dems under WJC moved that direction as well. Unless the Dems move back to being a worker's party we are going to have to create a new party. I proudly voted for Perot for this very reason.
