So I bought a new house moved to Greenville, SC this past summer. Just now I was outside by the fence looking at my deck I am working on, and my neighbor (who is a great guy) and I got talking over the fence. I had a Marshall hat on and he asked me if I went there, etc. Turns out he played for NE Lousiana that beat us in the 1AA Championship team in 87.He went into the house and came back out showed me his championship ring.
It was fun talking about that game with him (I was a senior that year). He remembered a lot of our players. He also talked about Stan Humphries etc. Kind of an out of the blue conversation.
Also, down over the hill from me is a house with a Marshall flag. When I first moved here I went up to the house and introduced myself to them. Turned out the guy was one of Aaron Perkins best friends and Aaron was in his wedding. Matter of fact Arraon had just been there visiting a few days earlier.
