As for your second comment. I got nothin. You make up your own rules as you go.

We have 8 wins which is more than you ever imagined. We are winning games in many different ways. Offense, defense snd special teams.

All led by a coach. A coach that also out the roster and staff together to get us to this point.

First, I never said JMU was down this year. I said App and Coastal were.

We play in the best G5, yes, and excluding Marshall the best teams are Louisiana, JMU, Texas State, South Alabama, and Ga So. So we have missed all the top teams so far except Ga So, the game we lost. Our best in conference is our newest over ODU. They are ranked 7th in the conference.

Because of this, despite playing in the toughest G5 conference and playing Ohio State and VT, our SOS is still over 100, very similar to the Doc CUSA days.

This year is very much like 2015 when we won 10 games, but the schedule was so weak who knows if we were good or not.

If we beat JMU on the road, that’s a good win. If that happens we will likely go play Louisiana at their place. That would be a good win.

The 7 FBS teams we have beaten are a combined 28-48. None have a winning record. I don’t care what ranking service you look at or what they rank our SOS, we haven’t beat a team with a winning record and the teams we have beaten have an average 4-7 record after 11 games.

We lost to a 5-6 team and a 7-4 team in addition to a 10-1 great team.

We need to beat JMU to give any appearance of legitimacy to our record.

That keeps being mentioned. First, it is false. The FCS opponent has a winning record and was in the top 20 yesterday. Second, you're now removing two games (FCS + next week) so basing it on a 10 game schedule instead of what could possibly be a 13 or 14 game schedule.

The season isn't over. Marshall could very easily have a win next week (which would qualify), have App State win next week which would be another victory over a winning record, and have a couple of teams that could finish over .500 with wins next week and in a bowl game.

Louisiana, which will probably finish 10-2, will have a win against a 7-5 team and possibly another 7-5 teams. That isn't much different than what Marshall has or will have.

Where we stand today is where we stand. IF we beat JMU I already said that adds legitimacy to our record. Who cares what Louisiana’s record is, they aren’t on our schedule.

Yes, IF you were honest, you'd admit that the victory over Stony Brooke ruins your attempt.
IF you were honest, you'd admit that it doesn't make sense to make the claim you have by not counting one of the games and doing it with still 2-3 games left to play.
IF you were honest, you'd admit that there are opportunities still for Marshall opponents to finish with records above .500.

Who cares what Louisiana’s record is, they aren’t on our schedule.

It shows that even a 10-2 team, in a G5, will have wins against very similar teams that Marshall win.

Is having two wins against 7-5 teams all that different than having three wins against 6-6 teams? Nope.
