Rumor has it CUSA and The Sun Belt are currently in a battle similar to Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire. The Sun Belt is working all the angles as has already been posted to pull us along with either a couple of other conference mates or James Madison or possibly Liberty.
CUSA has gone on a counter offensive in order to save the conference by trying to convince us along with the rest of the remaining conference members to stay while also going strong after James Madison and Liberty to join the conference. I don't believe Judy is driving the bus at this point as we already know some bigger names are helping spearhead this hail mary attempt. Their hope is that if they can shove all their chips into the middle of the table and hold together our current teams while adding JMU and Liberty it will give them the leverage needed to steal teams such as Appy State, Coastal Carolina and most likely one other as in Louisiana, GA State, Ark State or Georgia So.
If nothing else it sounds like we are almost in control of our own destiny although things are so unstable right now that could change. A lot of things are being offered and promised by both conferences. It will be interesting to see how and when this all plays out.
