Fellas we have been decimated by injuries. We aren't a great team to start with. We have made our living feasting on bad football teams.
Defense played well. Offense is killing us. Feel bad for Smith. He is toast mentally now.

Coaching is all that this loss is on, TWICE on 4th down and short we could have gone for it--once our guys jumped the other they didn't....instead we left 6 points off the scoreboard. 5 MISSED FG in ONE GAME? HOW DO YOU RIDE A HORSE THAT DEAD
I hate choice for the field goal instead of going for it. It isn't like we'd been nailing kicks all day. And why the hell does it take us so long to get the freaking play in? We have so many false starts because our guys are in their stance for a half hour before the snap. Legg needs to get his head out of his ass. Horribly coached game.
Maybe if smith wasn't on the sidelines weeping in OT we could still have taken our chances with him instead of having our kickoff specialist line driving into a block.
True. Just remarkable how close they almost always are. A good number of our fans were so critical of them being favored by a field goal. Vegas knows what they're talking about.
Yep, Actually everybody sucked. This is a team loss and when the team isn't ready that falls directly on the shoulders of the head coach.

Terribly disappointing - without question. However, I'm not going to personally destroy a young kid as it appears some seem to want to do. I doubt he ever forgets this day. That's punishment enough.
On a positive note - Litton showed a ton of guts and leadership today. Very gritty effort.

You have to feel for the team because they are a young football team. Hopefully this will help build them for the future. I will be interested to see if our kicker can come back after the way he handle adversity. BTW this is the most activity this board has seen for a while.
True they gave up a lot of yards but they still held Middle Tennessee to just 17 points in regulation. You cant expect much more than that. If our offense cant generate more than 17 points that's not the fault of our defense.
For me, I was pleased that they never gave up. I mean they played pretty bad most of the game.They could have packed it in when they missed the FG with a few minutes left. What really frustrates me at this point in the season is this. MISTAKES!!!!!. Not trying to pile on RY cause he is a great play maker but that penalty is indicative of this season. Oh well we win next week we go to 9-2. Maybe we can pay back WKY for screwing up our season last year by doing that to them the final week.
Back home from the MTSU game. Long drive, bad traffic, and lots of grief over the loss. All I have to say is this.............. You can only give the game away so many times before your opponent takes you up on it.
