Geezer hasn't posted in five days. Does anybody want to check the local news for his area to see if any geriatrics have wandered off?

I tend to do some things backwards. I got this idea that I would like to have a sauna. Not anything I would ever use, but the concept was appealing. I modified my deck, removed the railing in a shaded area, built a foundation, and erected a sauna kit I found online.

Got everything in and then realized I was 70 feet from electrical power. I have spent the last month taking care of that oversight. I’m pleased with the results.

Hopefully that does not get mistaken for an outhouse.

It looks good. You're not the only one with that issue. A couple of months ago, a friend bought an $8000 sauna. It is so big, that it required a crane in the front of her house to lift it over her house and drop it on the second lower level area of her backyard. She thought she was good until she realized she didn't have electricity for it back there. She has been told it will be $10k to get whatever built that it needs for electricity.

Can't you all just shut your bathroom door and run the shower as hot as it can get, then go sit in there after turning the water off?

It would have cost me a fortune if I hadn’t done the work myself. Even with me doing all the labor, the wiring, conduit, brackets, fittings, boxes, and such cost around $500-$600.

That would take all the fun out of going out on a snowy evening, sitting naked in my sauna, and waving to my neighbors when they go down the road.
