GOP blew it by abandoning their platform

Reading over their party platform, all about smaller and more efficient government. Limiting waste and so forth. Sounds good. Where was that when George W. Bush was in office? Where would it be if any of these 18 candidates now won the election?

Nowhere to be found. It's a lie. Without this core principle to hang their hat on, they're stuck with cultural values and gun rights. Even though I line up with them on that stuff, it's too weak and pales in comparison to the economy.

The Republicans had their chance to show us what conservatism is all about. Blew it bigtime. This crop of RINOs they have now have no chance to win. The only reason I'll vote for them is just to symbolize my disapproval of Hillary, akin to my disapproval of the Chicago Bulls when I was a kid.

When will we ever have a conservative candidate to get excited about voting for again? Probably about the same time the Reds win the pennant.

RINO's? Jeb Bush is as Republican as they come.

For people like you that don't understand what the GOP leadership really stands for, there are Tea Baggers running.

I think your problem is there are too many clowns running. Let's be honest: the only candidates (or soon to be candidates) that even have a whiff of Presidential aura around them are Jeb and Kasich (if he runs). And if Kasich doesn't run, well, good fvcking luck.

Me, I will probably be checking off a third-party candidate...again. But in the primaries, if Kasich runs, he has my vote. If not, maybe Rand Paul, just to give the finger to Mitch McConnell.

Yeah, I just don't understand. Just too dumb. Think of all these people on welfare who are a lot smarter. They know what the Democrat stands for when they vote for that. No doubt about it.

Maybe you are too dumb. The traditional GOP leadership has never been about cutting overall spending, just spending it on war instead...while cutting taxes and running deficits. There's real profiteering going on there.

You should get behind the Libertarians (and not Rand Paul, he is a fake one). Mind your business and smaller government, for real. If everyone like you would do this they would be a big party.

What other "libertarians" are running? I've never believed in either Paul.

Check to see if any are running locally. That is the only way change will come.

The Pauls are not real Libertarians, but Ron is closer to one than Rand.

IMO, anyone with a real libertarian mindset or ability to lead is too smart to step into such a cesspool. None of the real players in the GOP (on a national level) want a small govt. It's job security and publicity just like the Dems seek. Its becoming unbearable when looking at national races.

AMEN BROTHER!

I'm proudly registered as a Libertarian and will once again vote for Gary Johnson. He hasn't officially announced he is running, but no doubt he will.
