Why isn't this persecution of religious beliefs? Both the convicted and the family (including the children) have a religious belief that this guy is of a high religious order. Why do you allow the government to persecute their beliefs?

You don't have to "claim immunity based on religious beliefs."

I am still waiting why these people should be prosecuted. Their belief is that their god is telling one of the accused (not guilty) what to do. In the own words of some of the victims, it was the right thing to do and what their god was wanting.
