Graham Harrell was fired as the offensive coordinator at Purdue yesterday after 16 games. How is this Herd related? Marshall's OC, Seth Doege, was at Texas Tech as a teammate of Harrell's. Doege was then a QC at USC while Harrell was the OC there. The third year, Doege became the TE coach at USC under Harrell. Last year, Doege was again the TE coach under Harrell at Purdue.

Besides both of them coming from the Leach tree at Texas Tech together, Doege was a quality control coach for Harrell for two years and a TE coach under Harrell for two years at two separate schools. Doege's offense and philosophy will be very close to Harrell's.

The "and" portion is that even after knowing that, you'll still be a moron who lies to the board multiple times per day. Was it four or five times yesterday that you lied to the board resulting in me calling you out?

Oh, and for simpletons like you, that means it wouldn't be a far stretch to see Huff/Doege bring in Harrell next year as a position coach to assist the offense.

We need some immediate assistance or there’s not going to be a next year.

That would be be a great move on the part of Huff to bring him to Marshall

Will Huff be here next year

Yeah, maybe Doege will be HC and he can be his OC and bring a QB in from Purdue if they have a decent one on the bench.

What?

1) You want a fired OC to be out HC
2) Has Doege proven enough to warrant being retained if Huff was not retained?
I'd rather have a fired OC than another career assistant with no OC experience. Which is exactly what I expect we will get next go around. Snides, Doc, Huff, rinse and repeat. jmho

So over the last several years we've been offensively challenged and you'd be cool with a guy that got fired for his offense sucking. Makes sense lol.

Poach a lower level HC that's been a winner and sustained winning.

I've said take an FCS or D2 HC forever.
I would take a Harrell type guy over our current set up. For some reason MU brass has forgotten about offense the last 7-8 years or so. And it's showing that our HC had no OC experience or connections to some solid OC's. Jmho

We'll see if we learned our lesson with the next HC.
