Louisiana totally assreams mediocre Appy State (before a crowd that was neither loud nor actually large enough to be called a crowd, so so much for that ho-ha) 41-13. This brings our opponents records to 11-18, 6-18 vs. I-A programs.

When a team has gone 8-5, 9-4, 8-5, a mathematically adjusted for the number of games played 8-5, and the over-under is 8 1/2, baby, that ain’t a “rebuilding” year. When a team is picked to win its division, as it did the previous year, baby, that ain’t a “rebuilding” year.
Do you even know what “rebuilding” means, vis sports? A team would have a good record and be expected to have a lesser record, due to graduations and incoming younger players. MU was not said to be “rebuilding” by anyone. In fact, the opposite.
And it has, in the first half of the year, failed totally, losing to every team with a pulse. And almost to one without one.

That does not mean that one cannot look at the individual teams. The SEC is the best conference. That doesn’t mean that a fan cannot criticize a team for losing to Vanderbilt or South Carolina. Same vis Purdue or Rutgers or Kansas or the other bottom teams in a conference. Different things.

You spent the last at least 5 years telling everybody on this board that CUSA is great in football. That everybody in CUSA tries in football (whatever that means) and that it was formed as a football league(laughable). You told us that we were poison fans because we didn’t recognize the greatness of the teams we were playing. But now that Doc is gone you have completely changed your tune.
Now this team is terrible, that team is terrible and it’s unbelievable how bad Marshall is because they were picked to win the East and they will be lucky to win 4 games against these bad teams.
I’m not happy with our start and I’m one of those people that believe winning 7 or 8 games against a schedule in the 100s isnt great. So yes I was expecting more out of Coach Huff because we play an equally laughable schedule this year and we are at 500. But at least I’m freaking consistent.
I think CUSA sucks, I think UAB sucks, Western sucks and Charlotte for the love of all that is holy totally sucks. The fact that we are probably not going to be favored in any of those games makes me sick. The fact we play a team Friday that has won 1 game and we aren’t confident we are not going to pound them makes me sicker.
But at least I’m not a freaking hypocrite. I hope Coach Huff grows into his role and becomes the coach we want him to be. I’m rooting for him!
I wanted us to be done with Doc after 2016 but I never rooted against him and I was actually hoping through the first 7 games last year that he had left the past behind and that we were going to win the conference and have a great year. Then we tanked the rest of the year including losing 2 home games.
You are obviously a fan of a coach and not Marshall. So Raleigh is 100% correct Marshall football isn’t for you.
