This law was written with a broad brush, it needed to be scrapped. People have been getting letters telling them they are mentally unfit to manage their finances and that they may loose their 2A rights. These are people who live absolutely normal lives and they're getting these letters out of the blue.
It has also discouraged vets to seek mental health. But no one really cares about that. They just see a click bait headline and freak the fvck out.

well put 76. it also included your common uneducated idiot that was not able to handle their own finances but easily able to do anything else in life. people with "eating disorders" being included was even worse.
i fully support the idea here, just not the execution in this case. if even one group is "blanket" covered incorrectly (like the dumbass that can't manage his finances or somebody with an eating disorder) it is not worth taking away Constitutional rights.
