Herd Baseball Wins!

Be so great to see our baseball team actually play on or near campus and not have to drive to Charleston or Beckley to see them play. What a great season! Go Herd!

With a win today what time do we play on Wednesday? Will there be any radio coverage or do we need to watch online (which is fine, but at work listening tends to be a bit easier)?

Lost today, 6-5. ODU batter got his first HR of season, a solo, in top of 9th. According to Woody W. on radio, FAU gets regular season CUSA championship and way other conference games have gone this week-end, Herd is 2nd. We should get a pretty good draw in first round game; not sure if any higher seeds, first, second, etc., get a bye on first day, Wednesday, or not.

Marshall opens up with FIU...tough draw to start with but that's how the seedings fell.

This season proves that IAF was worth raising every self supporting penny. The men's baseball team works out in there as much as any team does and the ability to practice during bad weather is showing.

Really proud of the team and coach Wags. I was flying out of Atlanta last month and they were in E concourse and all wearing their Marshall Kelly and I chatted with them. Nice young men, really made me proud to be a 20 year plus Big Green member.

Somehow Hamrick has to get these guys a decent field. My preference would be near Pullman square where you could walk from the restaurant district and then catch a game to make a day of it. With the Doubletree going in now a shared field with a single A team would be a great fit for Huntington.

A Sunday decision....Tickets purchased....Hotel secured.....Heading to Hattiesburg EARLY Wednesday morning. HERD plays @ 7:30 PM CST. vs FIU. "Herd...Step One (CUSA Tourney) to the Road to Omaha.....You have to believe---Why not Marshall?"

its possible that other than football recruiting, that the IAF benefits the baseball team more than any other sport
