I'm surprised you guys haven't started a thread about this yet. Here are my 2 cents. I watched the game and was also impressed with the freshmen. They played with a LOT more confidence than freshman normally do. I like what I saw from pretty much everyone. The play with Andy's behind the back pass for an assist on the dunk was the play of the game in my opinion. Jake at one point said he had talked to Byers and Byers told him that he put on 15-20 lbs. I'm calling BS on that one, lol. You guys are going to have a very good, deep team. Danny will need to re-think his normal 7 to 8 person rotation. He will have the option of a rotation of 9-10 or even 11 players to come in and not miss a beat. Byers also needs to quit whining when he doesn't get the foul and just play ball and he also needs to realize that he doesn't have the range of the NBA's Steph Curry, lol.
Goran has to toughen up a little more. I think Taveon and Darius was just happy to be there and they had off nights , but they will be fine. Marko was impressive. I think Early was trying to force things a little. He needs to let the game come to him and "take what the defense gives him". Would like to see Devin and CJ get some meaningful minutes. Poor Jeremy, he probably works harder than anyone on the team, but I just don't know if he will actually see any significant court time.
I will be watching as much as I can and cheering for loudly our Marshall family. Good luck and hopes for a great season.
Go Herd !!! (except for the one night in December, lol.)
