Tom Hanks is working on a new movie, "No Better Place To Die". It is about the 505th PIT of the 82nd Airborne Division who seized the vital crossroads of Ste Me're Eglise during D Day. The battle there is said to be perhaps the fiercest close quarters combat fight in modern US military history.

Release date is 2019

Thanks, I'll look it up. Ste Me're Eglise is the only DZ I've never landed on at Bragg, it gets under my skin.

You ever make it to the SF and Airborne museum in Fayetteville? I'm at Bragg about 6 months out of the year and try to go when I'm there. Those original dudes were tough as nails.

I hate to admit it, I go to Fayetteville and Bragg area a lot , but have not gone in the museum. I have no idea why not. Been by there hundreds of times. Live not far up the road.

Movie looks to be good and there is a book about it as well. The original guys had some brass balls.
