Well there is your proof weather definitely is not climate. Mitch is an idiot...for more reasons than this, of course.

Random February days in the 70s happen. As do random days below 0. Neither are average. Both are indicative of a very active weather pattern.

Las Vegas averages 0.2 inches of snow a year. So not unheard of. Largest snowfall on record in Vegas: 3.6", 12/7/08. I bet that ruined the vacations of some people that didn't check the forecast before going.

Fun fact: only one NWS WFO has never recorded snow: Key West, FL.
