IU grad I work with says Alford, but it's gonna take a lot of money to lure him from UCLA

Money is not an issue, IU has the money. But it's really cold in Bloomington in the winter lol.
That was actually another thing we talked about. Steve lives in Malibu so it might be tough to lure him back to the Midwest. Lol

IMHO, Indiana is not the job it once was. When Mr. Knight was in his heydays, the Colts were in Baltimore and the Pacers were a losing ABA refugee unfollowed outside metro Indy. It is different in a state with pro sports.

IMO you are incorrect. It is a big-time job with big-time support. I don't know a single Pacers fan. The Colts probably kill any interest in IU football, but IU football has always been shitty anyway.

This is the make or break hire, however. Screw this one up and they've lost a generation of fans. If the new coach can sign a couple of particular in-state recruits the hype will be through the roof.
