This has not happened before. The Supreme Court does not leak. Never, ever.

Actually yeah, that is bizarre. I would guess it was a clerk who disagreed with it but holy shit they just aborted their career. Guess they’ll get on MSNBC someday?

But for real, I can’t see who it helped to leak it. I don’t see a justice flipping. It would’ve had more electoral impact if it had come out normally.

Kind of goes against common logic now if they talk about expanding it. More people equals more chances for leaks.
Every court precedent (including literal precedent) is currently being set on fire. What’s one more.

Troubling times ahead.

edit: I mean we may have just witnessed the final pulling away of the Court’s fig leaf of non-politicalization. That is the exact opposite of the legacy Roberts wanted to leave. What’s he do now? Now the first you want to be Chief Justice for.

There was a court which discovered a constitutional right to an abortion which might have done that.
And it was a court consisting of 6 conservative appointed judges that discovered that right. 5 of the 6 helped discover it.

I’d say Biden’s new Supreme Court pick or her staff have loose lips. No issues until this pick.

A former clerk made some points that it would benefit the conservatives more than the liberals to have this leak, so she thinks it was a conservative clerk. I agree with the first half of that assessment although I still would put money on it being a liberal clerk who was outraged.

whoever it was needs to face the music.

This holds true for anyone that leaks a Supreme Court decision, right?

🥱🥱🥱

Only 8 years too late to the party...

What is it with lefties like you that whenever there is something timely and relevent that makes your side look bad you have to find someone with an uncorroborated and unverified claim from years ago???

I understand where you get your hit and run tactics from - your idols in the media...

Say something you think is relevent and clever yet never stick around to defend it when more, and usually countering, information comes out...

Alito probably leaked Dobbs too.

Interesting choice of words. Freudian slip?

I exhibit my intelligence while you exhibit your lack thereof. Try again chump...
You're really, really bad at this.

It was mocking you for not knowing how to spell basic words, thus you "exhibiting your intelligence."

Hmmm... did you dig that out of your "duffle" bag that you bought at "Wal-Mart"??? But if being a grammar cop is the only way you can be "relevent" to yourself then have at it but it is irrelevant to me.

You're still arguing this lost attempt?

NY Times:

L.L. Bean:

Plenty of discussions about it stating that "duffel" is correct and acceptable:

Oh, and some thing called Merriam-Webster:

But, hey, the guy who frequently misspells basic words knows more.

As much as I don't want Biden to get another appointment, to formally accuse a sitting member of the SCOTUS of leaking is incredibly serious. If the evidence confirms it, by all means, release the hounds. Especially if there's evidence they have a history of it.

So the guy that got totally unhinged and triggered over an alternative and common spelling of a word missed the essence of the thread at time. Since you have been wrong about virtually EVERYTHING about defund the police, let's see how this has worked out for San Francisco.

"Homicides saw the largest year-over-year percent increase of any crime in the city, increasing 20% since this time last year, and there have been multiple headline-grabbing shootings in recent weeks. Robberies were up 5.6%, while larceny theft, a category that includes retail theft, was up 4.5%, representing the majority of crimes reported to the police."

Wasn't it a Walgreens that got you all triggered at the time?

"The Walgreens on Kearny Street in the city has slated a closure date of February 22nd. This marks the store becoming the 6th Walgreens to close since October and the 11th to close in the city since the start of the pandemic in 2020."

Hmmm... Let's see how Walgreens spells duffle...

Since you have been wrong about virtually EVERYTHING about defund the police, let's see how this has worked out for San Francisco.
You keep using that line, and it is still just as inaccurate as your first attempt of it today.

What was I wrong about with defund the police? You don't even now what my stance was, moron.

"Homicides saw . . . "

"The Walgreens on . . . "
Even though I don't have a dog in that fight, regardless of whatever type of argument you're bogusly trying to attribute to me, your attempt is void of logic.

Correlation does not mean causation. Well before any defund the police legislation was enacted and before it had any real impact, positive or negative, the things you mentioned (homicide, larceny, etc.) were increasing . . . under Trump.

Use logic.

I need to buy a hard style suitcase. Needs weels and preferably one of those type that you can push or pull, with the wheels that rotate.

Any recommendations?

I have a bit of a bag/suitcase fetish. This is probably my favorite in terms of maneuvering, as it spins on a dime. May I also suggest the matching messenger bag for your Macbook, iPad, headphones, chargers, wallet, gum, sanitizer, keys, and Sildenafil pills? The matching messenger bag fits all of that and your quarter-million dollars of diamond jewelry that you may travel with:

Even though it isn't a hard case, it is very durable with some very strong synthetic material. However, if you fly commercial, it is slightly bigger than the allow carry-on size for the major airlines, so it may not be the way you want to go.

Instead, I recommend any of the hard Briggs & Riley suitcases. Tumi has the top brand name for top-of-the-line suitcases due to their marketing and physical store presence. Though they are good, I feel they aren't up to the same level as Briggs & Riley. I've had the exact same set as the top picture in this article for many years, and they're still going strong. I do fly almost exclusively with only carry-ons (with the exception right now as I am in the air from Minneapolis to Boston), so they haven't had a ton of use, but they seem to maneuver in small spaces easily, and the lock mechanism on both (including the front easy access on the smaller roller) are nice:

Hmmm... We have specifically talking about crime in San Francisco and your TDS required you to invoke Trump...

Even the liberal The Atlantic magazine is closer to the "causation" than you ever will be.

Is this when the name-calling begins?

Oh, you want to just discuss San Francisco?

Fine. Your own article shows that property crime was 20% higher in San Francisco under Trump in 2017 - 2019 fro those months compared with the same months in 2022.

Violent crime was also about 20% higher in San Fran for those months in the Trump years compared to what it is now.

Do you ever think before posting? You posted a source which shows that crime in Trump was substantially higher in San Fran than it is now, yet you want to blame Democrats for the crime rate being lower than it was than during Trump's years.

You're really trying to blame the Democrats' strategy even though it's 20%+ better than compared with Trump's years. Brilliant.

Is this when the name-calling begins?
Yeah, considering what I just exposed with your argument and your own source, name-calling is in order. Congratulations, moron.

Imagine carrying a gucci suitcase. Jesus christ. Humiliating.

Drives around in his mom's car and has to buy flamboyant luggage to prove he's not a nobody to strangers . . . exactly what you do here.

Funny, I thought this would be more up your alley...

You could even give travelfashiongirl a lesson on spelling "duffle"...

The Gucci set isn't very gaudy. It's two very dark colors. The Prada set I have is even less gaudy. It's not quite as bad as showcasing your 10 year old sports car in a magazine in Huntington, Fvcking, West Virginia, but I can't drop to those lows just overnight.

Drives around in his mom's car and has to buy flamboyant luggage to prove he's not a nobody to strangers . . . exactly what you do here.
Now wait just a minute: I thought it was my car? Now, you're admitting that it was my mom's car?

This is the thing: I drove my mom's car because it was too much of a pain in the ass for me to go to the garage and take either of my cars at the time (tandem parking). Since I was already late, it was much easier to just take hers. I'm sure I explained that before. But the best part? You claim that I have luggage to "prove he's not a nobody," but then when I don't give a shit enough to drive one of my luxury vehicles and take my mom's easier-to-access cars instead since I have nothing to prove, then it's an issue.

See how your attempt wreaks of contradiction, moron? "He has nice luggage to prove he's not a nobody!" "He drove his mom's car which wasn't luxury, so he must be a nobody!"

Oh, and nobody sees that luggage. Since it's too big for carry-on, I usually only use it when I fly private.

My 10 year old sports car? That car was 2 years old and had less than 5k miles on it when the magazine reached out to me asking if they could use it in their magazine. Of course, I don't have that car anymore, it's been replaced with a newer one. It actually exists, unlike your fantasy "private jets" and your luxury homes from Zillow.

And there's no contradiction. You are insecure and would do anything to prove you are someone. You drove your mom's car so you didn't have to drive your 15 year old "luxury" car or whatever it was you were driving at the time.

Both my hometown's local sports hall of fame and the state's county hall of fame have reached out countless times asking me to accept induction over the last 20 years (including again within the last year). They go through other people to ask, and I brush it off each time. On the other hand, this guy submits pictures of his lawn to an online contest and puts pictures of his car in a magazine for Huntington, Fvcking, West Virginia.

That's the difference between the two of us. You beg for attention and approval. I hide from it.

I'd much rather drive a 15 year old luxury car than an eight year old Nissan Maxima. The fact that I didn't give a shit to drive my cars (which weren't 15 years - the Jaguar in 2014, I believe, was seven or eight years) shows how your attempt rings hollow.

And it's completely a contradiction. You claim that I care so much about "proving that he's not a nobody," that he buys flamboyant luggage. But wouldn't that mean I would care enough to drive one of my more expensive cars than what was a seven or eight year old car that my mother owned that was very average? Doh!
It actually exists, unlike your fantasy "private jets" and your luxury homes from Zillow.
.
I don't own a jet. I do, fairly regularly, fly private. It's really not that expensive. And your repeated Zillow attempt is stupid. I have the listing pictures of all of my properties saved, as they tend to be better pictures than I would take. Of course, for properties in the price range you live in, real estate agents don't bother getting professional pictures, professional published folders, commercials, etc.

Go out to your garage right now and take a picture from the inside of your nicest car. Write a note with today's date on it in the pic.

I'm on a plane, moron. I already mentioned that.

But since you're keeping notes: I have a 2020 BMW X7. I have a 2014 BMW X5. I have a 2019 E class Mercedes. I own what is now about a $900k house (where I live in about 12 nights per month) in Orange County. I was getting estimates from realtors for north of a million when they would try to get me to list with them in the spring. I own what is just north of a million dollar house in Laguna Beach. I own what is about a $400k loft in Salt Lake City. I own another property in that same development that is empty as I am remodeling it. I own a beach condo in Florida which is completely paid off and has been rented out to the same woman/children for many years.

One of the best comments you made on here was "wealthy people have nice cars. That is the easiest and most used way that wealthy people show their wealth." It is one of the dumbest things you've ever said on here, and there is a lot of competition in that. My business partners and colleagues are worth tens to hundreds of millions. Two are billionaires including one whose father is the wealthiest person in LA and the third wealthiest in California. One of those worth tens of millions was driving a 2003 3 series BMW all of the way up until about six months ago . . . and he had equity in a company that just sold for over $300 million, his wife is a pediatrician, and he went out and bought a Wrangler. So no, moron, that's not the easiest and most used way people with wealth show their money. Poor people can drive a BMW.

Don't you love how you can't stay on subject and are so desperate to know. more about me?

Oh, you're on a plane, must be private. Take a pic with the date and post for us.

Also, can you dig up the post where you quoted me saying rich people show their wealth with cars? Thanks.
