How many

Yes, but don't think people like Mirabol, Legg, have any long term deals. Maybe the coordinators have 2 year deals but I think most assistants are on year to year contracts.

Frankly, after ensuring a losing season by losing at ODU next week should mean that our only concern should be for 2017 and beyond. Hamrick should soon after come out publicly and say that some personnel changes will be made and are warranted. That should be Doc's FIRST PRIORITY immediately as soon as the gun goes off at end of WKU game on Nov. 26. Whether Doc wants to or not, Hamrick should MAKE IT CLEAR, i.e., ORDER HIM, that changes WILL BE MADE!!!!!

2015.....Record: 10-3, 6-2.....Bowl Win over Connecticut, 16-10

2014...Record: 13-1...CUSA Champs.....Bowl win over Northern Illinois, 52-23

2013...Record 10-4, 7-1.....Bowl win against Maryland

2012...Record 5-7, 4-4

2010...Record: 5-7, 4-4....lost to wvu in OT, 24-21

Future scheduled opponents...Cincinnati (2017, 2019).......South Carolina (2018)......Boise State (2019, 2020)...NC State (2017, 2018)...US Naval Academy.....Appy State (2021, 2022)

I too am at a loss for the lack of positive performance by the 2016 squad...a season with SOME early reports of The HERD representing CUSA-East in the Trophy Game, since Marshall has MTSU & WKU in Huntington.. The team seems like it wants the season to end. I was pleased the guys & coaching staff played/coached well in the So. Miss lost in Hattiesburg. Because of expulsions & defections...many freshman are playing on both sides of the ball. No one should expect lots of Freshman to perform well against opponent's rosters dominated with junior & seniors

However, some of you want Doc & his staff FIRED. Holy Spit Batman! I hope you don't kick your kids in the ass for spilling milk at the dinner table.

Yeah, we need a change or two. But I back Doc in the long run. He has done a lot of good things during his tenure; I sincerely hope he can get things straighten out. However, if we're in this same shape two years from now, it's time for him to gracefully retire.

Doc has earned another year, and Heater sure as hell has, but Legg has got to go. How can anyone argue anything FOR him, when it's increasingly clear that Cato called the vast majority of the plays during his last 2 seasons.

I love how those close to Hamrick, staff and school never want change, always think it's the fans fault or everyone outside the MU fish bowl are nuts and delusional. It's quite funny to see.

Doc is not the issue in my opinion, legg, mirabol, wr coach is. Our defense is progressing, which means they are learning under heater. I know they started rough but you have to have perspective. Now our offense shouldn't be having these issues, plain and simple, but they are. I have been extremely disappointed in the Oline, and not impressed with Litton's accuracy or WR's dropping balls, mind you they are not freshman and shouldn't be doing freshman things. Now it becomes Doc's issue if the does nothing about it.

Hamrick isn't in charge of firing coordinators. And he's not going to fire Doc the year after he had his third straight 10 win season. Thats just absurd. i think it's funny you brought up change since it would seem that most fans dislike change, i.e. seating realignment jerseys etc.

Well redsfan your assessment may be correct however Hamrick wants fannies in the seats at the Joan. With two huge home games left the majority of those seats will be empty. So while I agree that MH may not be in charge of firing coordinators he sure can apply the pressure on Doc and make no mistake all the past wins mean squat at this point unless Doc can find the intestinal fortitude to fire his buddy Legg or then begin looking at retiring after next year. Remember the majority of these players return next year with potentially the same coaches with yet another tough early schedule and potentially the same results. I said potentially.

I'm not saying you are wrong, I think Legg needs to go. But your point about having people in the seats if we fire Legg or others is laughable. If we finish 2-10 I think Legg needs to be gone. But, there is no reason to fire him right now. Fans won't come back to the games because we fired our OC. And who would replace him mid season? I'm not saying you are wrong about Legg or others needing to go, but fans need to support this program whether we win or lose, if we want to be "big time".

And "Big Time" program coaches often fire assistants/coordinators in mid-season as well as head coaches. So are we "Big Time" as you say and we fans just need to patiently wait to watch us potentially lose the remaining four games when a change now may make a difference? I opt for make the change now and see people return.

I fully realize Doc makes the call but they are all buds and won't make any changes.
The fans have been put through hell considering we help pay for this program. They have a right to see a good product on the field.
Our ticket revenue is second in the league to only ODU. And higher than any school in the MAC or SB.
So yeah, let Hamrick whine. I don't think he realizes the corner he painted himself into.

Ticket revenue is second in the league - not saying much when you look at the league members.

performance is lacking. Someone has to figure ut the reason for that performance. Is it the skill and ability of the players (from everything I have read and heard I doubt that), Is it those coaches who set the game plan (maybe), is it the coaches who call the game during the game(I would say most likely). So the question is, does Doc let the Coordinators set the game plan on OFF and DEF as a CEO type coach does, or does he micromanage? If a micromanager he gotta go, If he is the CEO type other coaches need to go. Whichever way that question can be answered the person or people making the calls for game plan and game play needs to move on. If they don't it will be like electing Hillary. More of the same. If you like more of the same so be it, personally I would prefer less of the don't lose too badly or win too big. Play to win at all times.

It's better than being 12th in the league. Point is, despite Mike's whining, our fans support this program and school damn well.

Obviously 2nd is better than 12th, interesting that a school that has been D1 for what 4 or 5 years leads the conference

How many folks running down MU football, which they claim to be a support of; in my mind meaning they're "in the house", would really like to destroy their own house? A house divided can not stand against itself.

Considering they can pull from a population of over 1million in the area and several large corporations located there.
A tad bit better than Huntington.

I'm not hopeful for next year, but next year's schedule is hardly "tough". Miami (not the real one, the one in Ohio), current 3-6 with no wins versus a team with a winning record and a I-AA loss at home; @ NC State, currently 4-4 and probably finishing 5-7; Kent State, currently 3-6 with one win versus a team that is .500, and with a I-AA loss at home; and @ Cincinnati (free tickets, as always) currently 4-4 against the world's worst schedule, probably going 5-7 as well. Very easily could play 4 I-A teams none of which had a winning season the year before.
