Just heard a former CIA guy on Joe Rogan say we have sent sent 83 billion dollars in aide or so to Ukraine in 1.5 to 2 years. Give or take because our government is not exactly being forthcoming with real numbers.

He said the amount of we spent 20 years in Afghanistan we spent 73 to 78 billion. Give or take.

Is this dude correct?

$75 billion in assistance to Ukraine, which includes humanitarian, financial, and military support as of July of this year. A little over 3% of what Afghanistan cost us.

Since invading Afghanistan in 2001, the United States has spent $2.313 trillion on the war, which includes operations in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

You're dude is either a liar or ignorant.

You are ignorant because Ukraine is not our war

I would like to see how he broke that down . Did he mean aide or total military spending or what. But I did rewind it and listened to those numbers 3 times. It was just one small segment of his interview which was on multiple topics.

Simple. Your "dude" used all types of aide for his Ukraine numbers...

and only the military aid from the U.S. to Afghanistan.

I gave you the numbers in an above post. Now go back and listen to the "dude" 3 more times and see if you can manage to totally believe the "dude", since he's either ignorant or lying, and you love both those types.

The $2.3 trillion number he cited includes a lot of stuff that isn’t included in the $75 billion number he cited. It includes interest on debt, VA medical costs, baseline budget calculations and other such calculations.

Direct DOD spending on the war was a tick over $1 trillion, or less than $50 billion per year. Keep in mind that $50 billion paid for everything, troops, arms, fuel, ammo, equipment, everything.

Our government is screwing our own citizens while Biden supporters sit in the corner & watch excitedly. Cuckraine.

That's right. Idiot. We don't have all those costs with Ukraine aid. The 75 billion remains about 3% of what we spent on the Afghanistan failure. When including Iraq, the total is expected to hit 4-6 trillion.

He's not my dude moron. It was on a show.

That's what I would like to see broke down. I think he may have been referring to direct military equipment, etc.

His actual point was the trajectory for both and how the hell do we get out of Ukraine. Plus they are using some shady things in Ukriane and where is this all going and for what?

Really? What was his stance on being in Afghanistan for 20 years and leaving it the way we found it?
Other than saying the withdraw was a debacle that was not part of the forum and wasn't really a topic they went over. It was the 2 year anniversary and they briefly touched on the withdraw, but not for long.

The Biden’s have only gotten 20-30 million from Ukraine give or take. That’s a pretty poor return on investment of American tax dollars.

Go look at what Biden is demanding the US commit to Ukraine per quarter going forward.

I've noticed the left doesn't want to acknowledge we have troops on the ground (seriously, again, go read the leaks).

Got it. Dude just wanted to complain that were not spending nearly as much per year in Ukraine than what we spent in Afghanistan.

No he was saying the trajectory of what we are spending in Ukraine is absurd and what is the goal, end game, strategy. All legitimate questions. Like, what are we trying to accomplish there.
