Tittsburgh is an hour away. They can live outside there and Huff could be in the 'hole in 45 minutes.
Looks like Jimbo was due - $7.2 million annually through 2031
Not sure if that goes away with a new job.
Depends if Jimbo has offset language in his contract.

A lot of these coaching contracts are wild. These ADs are so convinced they've found the next GOAT HC that the only people they prevent on making a move on their HC is themselves.
According to a quick google search if USC wanted to rid themselves of Lincoln Riley they would owe him $90M. If Florida State wanted to rid themselves of Mike Norvell they'd owe him $64M.

A good friend of mine is a casual WVU fan, and pretty smart. He is the good kind of WVU fan, actually knows football and what WVU's place in it is, not the delusional Spamites who buy into the Metronews idiocy. Anyway he came up with the term "Mountaineer math" where the delusionals have the Spamite boards all full of how Fisher, and most of the other coaches listed above, can be afforded by WVU because if you add their buyout to what WVU can actually afford to pay, they are making Elon Musk money.
Of course it doesn't work that way. Saban is 73, Fisher is 60. They are not going to give a home state discount to a school neither went to because they were born here. Saban is done, Fisher is not going to finish a career five levels below where he was. Main rumor today is Ryan Day, which is also stupid. WVU will have to come up with cash it doesn't have.
Anyway, Huff is going to USM, and his agent will have salted stories where he is up for every job in America, starting next year. After WVU fires whoever they hire this time, if CH hasn't yet been fired at USM, I'm sure there will be a story that he is up for the job then. He won't be.
BTW, the Spamies will play Memphis in the Scooter's Coffee Bowl, presented by Toyota, the bowl CH lost last year.

From what I have heard the only real person they have interviewed is the OC from Penn State Andy Kotelnicki.
Actually what he said is not too far off of what is actually happening. They really do think that Jimbo and Saban are realistic and read today that the fans think if Ryan Day is fired that he'd take the job. They're going to end up with hire none of them saw coming (not in a good way) and meltdown in epic fashion.
Wouldn't it be crazy if Ohio State wins the national championship but, they want to fire he because he loses to Michigan.
I could see Jimbo perhaps. Saban not a chance. The dude is the GOAT and is not going to go to Morgantown. Ohio State will likely see what Day does in the playoff(see my post about losing to Michigan but winning the national title). The Saban stuff is hilarious.
The WVU job is a dead end street for the most part. In a chopped up Power Conference that is spread all over the place and they are struggling financially and otherwise. They have one of the most unrealistic fanbases ever and are in an arms race they have little chance competing in.
