This country cannot stand in the long run. I firmly believe that now. There are two many divisions.

I don't believe this will be another war between the states like that last one. But, more of a true Civil War.

This country is bankrupt, without true leadership, a rouge court system, and soon to become an undisciplined free for all. Half of the country has no vested interest in this country. One side not only wants equal rights the way they determine but they want to whitewash the principles of which founded this country and what made it great. Hard work, determination, the American dream, and love of country are fading.

I fear for this Republic, my friends. The end will be surely be near. This is a divided country with further division coming. You see the battle is not truly about two of the same sex marrying. It is about a court system and polticaly system that is a direct threat to the Republic and Democracy.

God Bless the States they are getting ready to tell the Supreme Court we are not abiding by your actions. What are they going to do about it? Roll in the tanks? God Bless the religious leaders who will say no. When they lock you up they can lock me up with you.

The true problem is too many people accept leadership by sound bite, and this goes for both sides of the aisle. Governance is damn hard work, demanding both compromise and intelligent hard-headedness. The problem is we have too many hard headed people who view compromise as losing, when, in reality, the only thing being lost is one more bit of extremism.

What pisses me off is that America has so many self-absorbed, selfish "me, me, me" types who would rather preach overthrow of our government than take the time & effort to seriously engage in meaningful efforts to make our country better. Instead, we have this "win or lose, and losing is not an option" mentality that is doing more to cripple this country than any unpopular SCOTUS ruling could.

My son's friend, who is black, just got into West Point. We have a federal holiday for a black civil rights leader. There is a black man on the Supreme Court. South Carolina's governor(who is an Indian woman) stood there with a white Senator and several black government leaders from South Carolina and said the flag should be removed. The greatest boxer of all time is a black man who was a draft dodger but is now revered. The greatest basketball player of all time is a black man who has a clothing line named after him and owns a NBA team(in the South by the way). My neighbor who is white has two adopted black kids that call her mom. The list of influential and wealthy black entertainers is too long to list. Oh, and Darius Rucker sings country.
