They have rushed for 120 yds & controlled the clock to the tune of 18 to 12 mins. Add to that brew a Doughty pick, & you have a half-time score of 14-13.
While it may be a case of WKU taking the Owls too lightly, the recipe is cooking quite nicely......

As seen in the second half of the FAU-WKU game, the key to slowing them down is two fold... Control the clock on offense and make them one dimensional when they have the ball.

1st half FAU owned the ball and they stopped the run, making WKU throw... Score 14-13 WKU
2nd half WKU got the ground game going and opened up play action, FAU had a couple quick 3-4 and outs... Score 35-19 WKU and still counting.
