Those “rivalries” were one sided. The teams you mention had true historical rivals with the possible exception of TC.

You are in the minority. I graduated in 1983 and never felt a rivalry with any MAC team. The older fans do but not me. I would much rather travel south to a game than north to Godforsaken Ohio, Michigan or wherever MAC teams exist.

The other big issue is CUSA is a financial disaster. Terrible TV and travel
