Are we maybe better off than some? I don’t think anyone wants this to happen, but I’m trying to look at the bright side based on our unique position. Just a few ideas:
1. With a known lame duck coach, our recruiting is obviously hampered. A cancellation might allow us to get a replacement in place quicker than normal, and save next year’s class.
2. It’s a best case scenario for our positioning in the hiring lineup. Under normal circumstances, we’d be way down in the hiring pecking order. If there isn’t a season, there will be exponentially less coaching movement. We’d be better positioned.
3. Fanbase comes back in 21 starved for football, unified under a new leader, and genuinely excited.
