Analytics... More and more teams are going for it on 4th, especially in the NFL. If it's 4th and 2 or less and you are not in your opponent's field goal range it's worth the gamble (of course depending on score and remaining time in the game).

I don't know the situation each time they went for it on 4th down. Either way and without checking I am sure that is a very high number.

I just checked. Tied for 4th in the nation for most 4th down attempts per game.

I like the philosophy behind it... Nothing is perfect, and math becoming a deciding factor in football games isn't fool proof, but if the numbers say go for it then trust your guys and go for it.
