If you happen to watch the Patriots game vs Jaguars we might want to revisit that thread. They will not let the Patriots lose, no matter what. Refs no better than the WWE. All the calls go one way for certain teams.

NFL sucks. I am going back to work.

I actually turned that on with about 2 mins or so to go in the first half. I swear this shit is fixed as the old GA championship wrestling.

I was in a good mood. Got home and thought ok I will turn it on. The last two mins of that half was a travesty. The fix was in.

I don't have a dog in the fight. But, there is pure bias in the NFL. Too much money to be made and lost.

Plus, how is that hit on the tight end a personal foul? Is this touch football now?

It’s been a personal foul for over 2 years now.

Oh yehh about the time I stopped watching as much. hahhaa

It wasn't even helmet to helmet. Grab ass football.

what a joke. Throw that flag, then interference of course. The PGA tour is more a compact sport now.

Let Brady throw the ball up. Interference. Do it again.

However, It’s never been legal to hit a receiver before the ball arrives. That one was an easy call. No doubter.

.

It's been like that for more than a decade. The grueling hobby of golf destroyed the body of the best "athlete" of our generation. All of that walking along 18 holes while somebody else carries your bag is a nightmare on your body.

LOL. That and swinging a club 1000 times a day your whole life.

The ball went off his hand first and how in the hell is that guy going to hold up and not try to make a play? You just let the guy catch the ball I guess. Next play intererfernce. 30 plus yard in penalties for the pats. surprise. they were losing.

what damn joke the nfl is.

Every time I try to come back and watch it, the play and calls are just beyond watchable. At least the players play harder in the playoffs.

I’m guessing rifle isn’t very good at golf.

LMAO, you have done it now. Now we get to hear how good he would be if he wanted to be.

First this week it was the gospel and now it will be the links.

Are you talking about the call involving gronk?

Your delusion. ^^^^

Facts. 24-20 <<<<<<<

Again, I have no dog in the fight. You could substitute different teams. Look at the penalties. Look at the calls. This is my second thread about the NFL and questionable actions. I turned the game on with a few mins to go in the first half. Boom, here it goes. I thought I was watching an Ed McMahon production. Just terrible. The refs in the NFL are terrible. The league has issues and is absurd sometimes.

How is d back supposed to make a play?

Not go helmet to helmet like the rule has been on receivers for more than a couple years.

You’re trying to hard here Herdman. I haven’t watched much NFL over the last several years either but I tuned in to see what a team like the Jags could do. They were winning after 3 qtrs....the officiating had no impact on the score.

I think you have an axe to grind here and it's because you are mad that the Patriots won. You're tired of seeing them win. I understand that and don't blame you, but do you honestly believe New England benefitted more from that one penalty than losing Gronk for the remainder of the game? We were already struggling offensively and that was the last thing we needed to do was lose him. I haven't heard anything about his status, but he could even be out for the Superbowl.

No Sir, I'd give back that penalty in a heartbeat to keep Gronk.

Watch the replay from the side angle. It was close, but the refs do have to call that way based on their rule as the NFL knows its days are numbered when it comes to this.

But, I am not stretching here. I have noticed a pattern in the NFL over the last few years. Some of it has come from actually watching live games. I went to one game and I swear to god they played touch football for 3 quarters.

I couldn't give a shit who wins. The NFL doesn't matter than much to me anymore. I will actually "root" for the Patriots in the Super Bore. Probably won't watch much of it. But, if I have to pull for a team in that game, I will go for the Patriots. Never did like the Eagles and I don't care if Vinny Curry does play for them. The pros make money. I don't care about their trophy.

This argument is not about one game. This about the entire league over time.

Bias towards certain teams.

Players tank it during certain games.

A lot of grab ass football going on.

Games are for the most part boring.

Stupid ass rules.

I won't even go into the players and their attitudes and such. This argument is not about that. It is about the game.

Just like NASCAR, I feel myself walking away.

WE? Do you play for the Patriots? I can understand "we" more in college ball. You go to school there. More part of the community. Playfor pride and so on.

"We" in the pros? These guys are paid and your favorite guy could be playing for the Bengals next year or go for more money or get cut.

You could give back that penalty. Because they would have given the Patriots another call. Like on the next play. hhaaaaaa

I became a fan of New England back when Troy Brown first started playing for them and have been a fan ever since.

I will say "WE" whenever the fvck I feel like it, because it is my team. If you don't get into teams in the NFL, good for you. Considering how frustrating it's been to be a Marshall fan, at least I can root for a team with a competent coaching staff.

I agree on the coaching staff comment. Just don't know how anyone uses we for a pro team. I could see maybe if you live let's say in Philadelphia your own life or something or in a true pro town...maybe.

But, I can't be that invested in it when it is big business and these pro's and owners are millionaires and half of the players are morons. Take James Harrison for example. Hired gun. Steelers legend and goes to the Pats for a playoff run. No we in that crap. Hired gun. Nothing wrong with it, but I won't get emotional or invested in it.

No we in that crap.

He got released. Should a professional just retire because a team wont sign him?

(Pitt could have used a pass rush last week- probably should have resigned him)

it is big business and these pro's and owners are millionaires

Not sure what this has to do with deciding on why/why not to follow a team or sport. There are clearly some teams/owners that don't give a damn about winning, but it appears the Pats are not one of those teams. All they want to do is win.
