I think the primary reason he refuses to release his tax information is due to what it may say about his dealings with Russia. the reason he doesn't release tax records is the ignorant public would have no idea what they were looking at. The same public would rely on the same kind of misinformation we have seen the last several days. My tax return last year was almost 50 pages. My business activities are not even close to DTs.
