Kaare Vedvik

A young man who has worked hard & def overcome unexpected adversity. Hoping he gets his chance! Has there ever been a longer hang time for a punt than his classic from the 5? Rolled all the way to the opposite end zone. Collective “Ohhhhh” from the faithful....

CBSsports.com had a recent column indicating that the Bears were seriously considering trying to pick up Vedvik.

his performance this week just earned him a nice paycheck from some NFL team

Let's hope so.

Besides, you never know what will happen during the preseason. An established kicker or punter could go down with an injury and open up an opportunity for him.

At the very least, he could probably make a nice living in the CFL too.

Indoor home games!

************CAN'T believe I pulled the CRS on this one! We have a pretty solid history w/the Vikes….at least since 1998...

Being able to punt and kick can save a team a roster spot. I see 10 plus years in the league.

No... He was traded to Minnesota, where he will be there kicker to start the year. Dan Bailey is toast according to reports coming out of Vikings camp. He went 4-7 and 3-6 in field goals during their last two special teams scrimmages.

The Ravens were in a perfect position to trade Kaare to Minnesota... If you already have the most accurate kicker in the history of the league and a pro-bowl punter it made sense to showcase Vedvik and use him to add draft capital (a 5th from the Vikings in 2020).

Not a bad pipeline for special teams talent either... Baltimore has brought in Justin Tucker, who is on his way to Canton... They found Will Lutz (New Orleans kicker), Steven Hauschka (Bills kicker) and Graham Gano (Panthers kicker) before either releasing or trading them.
