Knowledge

We need to hire Bobby to run what was once the greatest work release program in all of college football and also one of the winningest in the 90’s...

I'm not upset. Just find it an interesting part of the story.
High risk behavior has consequences.

"McDaniel, 20, was held on a $50,000 bond, per Courtney Hessler of the Herald Dispatch."
vs
Stew Butler being held on $10K bond for two counts of battery.
Weren't Butler's charges misdemeanors? I know he was convicted of misdemeanors but I can't remember his initial charges.

I know McDaniel is charged with a felony.

I think they were.

Was just pointing out violent crime vs non.
And I know people don't differentiate but if it was only weed, that should matter.

5X bond seems steep between those crimes.
You punch somebody unprovoked in the street.

He's out so good for him. Hope he gets good legal support.

I'm all for de-criminalizing weed but the fact is even in places like Virginia (where I live) the amount of weed Knowledge had would be a felony. There will always have to be a line drawn in the sand somewhere; even when retailers can sell marijuana to the public.

Totally agree.
Priors will come into play etc.

Don't want to see anyone in jail. Not a good place to be.
The amount of people incarcerated for non violent drug crimes is a terrible waste of money and their life.

There are ways to not get in trouble for drug crimes and they wouldn’t waste their life

Recreational is one thing, possession of several pounds and 21k in cash is a distributor. I agree with others, drug possession compared to other violent crimes shouldn't necessarily mandate prison time. Confiscate the weed and cash and send him on his way. Hopefully lesson learned.

The people he would have been involved with weren't good people. He was involved with them. Remember the prom kids that got murdered around Charleston Avenue back around 2003? Drug traffickers are violet people with zero regard for human life.

Doesn't matter how you feel about it. It's the law. I don't pity him at all. He knew what he was doing and still did it.

Also legalizing drugs isn't going to fix the addiction/homeless problem. Making it legal doesn't change anything other than providing zero deterrent for cartels to run.

When I walk through downtown Charleston everyday for lunch and see the countless addicts spaced out like zombies or yelling at the air the last thing I think is man if only drugs were legal. If only these people had more clean needles.

Nobody said it would fix the problem.
