Name a single wall st guy that probably wasn't coked up at some point. Shit. Bear Stearns went under because the CEO was still high half the time and had no idea what his firm was invested in. I commend Larry for getting clean.
Flyover country folks have no idea. I used to work for some very wealthy NYC/NJ guys. They were coked out of their minds. That's just the mindset there, work hard and play hard. Of course they crashed and burned in 2007, like everyone else.
Bear Stearns, the entire company was coked up and flying by the seat of their pants lol. Jimmy Cayne kept an antacid bottle of blow in this desk. 35:1 leverage ratio and highly questionable investments makes a lot more sense when you are coked up!
