LBJ

And this is a nice colorization of the swearing in of LBJ on Airforce One...

People tried to convince her to change from the blood stained outfit she wore during the assassination and she refused. It's amazing how composed she is.

It did not become Air Force One until after he was sworn in. ;)

Also released, an FBI memo stating that he was a member of the KKK back in the day in Texas.

New movie about LBJ is coming out. I loved the movie on HBO where Bryan Cranston plays LBJ. Nobody out does Bryan playing LBJ.

One of the most bizarre things to me in the whole thing is how Jack Ruby walked right up and shot Oswald in the gut. Right there in front of everybody.

What the hell? Oswald had just shot the leader of the free world and the POTUS. Why in the hell was he just walking out in broad daylight and open led by the Dallas Police? You would think the killer of the POTUS would have been highly guarded and in a damn armored car or truck and nobody could have just walked right up and shot up.

How does that happen? Why was there no perimeter of security set up and why didn't they back a vehicle up and throw him in the back right at the door.

Where was the FBI and feds? The guy had just shot the POTUS? They turn that shit over to the Dallas police? That would never happen now. The feds would swoop in a take over.

What were they thinking? You would have thought there would be 200 Feds, US Marshalls, Secret Service all around that guy. Then 200 state troopers guarding the roads.

Instead walk him out and a guy pops him with Colt Cobra .38 Special. A damn snub nose 38 with an effective range of about 7 to 10 yards. Bam right in his gut. Shoots the most famous killer in the world.

Different times.

The last president to be assassinated prior to JFK was William McKinley in 1901. That's a 62 year difference. I mean...JFK was riding in a convertible through the city if that tells you about the times they were living in. Why didn't they protect the most famous killer in history at that time? Seems to me the better question is why did they allow the most powerful man on earth to ride through a city in an open convertible?

Like I said...different times.

You would have thought they would have had more security set up after Oswald did this.

One thing I have read is that Ruby knew some of the cops of had access. Apparently some of the cops like to frequent his "establishments" that he owned and they knew him.

But, why would the Dallas cops be in charge? I guess because it was a murder case and murder is a state crime. But, damn it was the POTUS.

It wasn't a federal crime to kill POTUS until 1965. DPD had total jurisdiction.

And 1963 was closer to the days when they still strung people up for shit than it is to today. I'm pretty sure most of the officers of the DPD didn't give a single fvck if someone killed Oswald...and saved the State of Texas quite a bit of money lol.

I went to Dallas years ago and went down to the shooting site. I don't think it was that hard of a shot. I think Oswald did it and shot him. No man on the grassy knoll.

I don't believe that Magic Bullet bullshit for one second. And I'm damn sure blowing off the back of JFK's skull didn't happen from a shot from the rear. Who did it? Fvck if I know. There's a lot of compelling ideas...a lot more compelling than Oswald was just some nut that also happened to have contacts with both the KGB and CIA.

It could have blown it off from the rear. Sometimes the entrance hole is larger. Shooting a head is like shooting a pumpkin. Gonna be messy. He used that 6.5 carcano round. That is gonna explode a head.
