HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Conference USA office released the league men’s basketball schedules for all of its members Wednesday afternoon.

The Thundering Herd will face Old Dominion, Charlotte, Middle Tennessee, UAB and Western Kentucky twice. The program will host UTSA, UTEP, Rice and North Texas while traveling to FIU, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech.

Marshall set 14 C-USA, school or Henderson Center records in coach Dan D’Antoni’s second season a year ago, including 86.0 points per game (T-3rd nationally) against a schedule that ranked in the top 100 of the RPI.

The Thundering Herd will also look to build on a season that saw the program rack up 12 league wins for the first time since 2000-01 as a member of the Mid-American Conference.

Marshall’s non-conference schedule will be released at a later date once it is finalized.

Thursday tilt makes it almost impossible for me to go.

so what OOC games are already set up? I see 13 to 15 wins on the conf schedule if the team progresses from last year. what 10 to 12 games OOC do we have. Can we get to 20 or more wins before conf tourney?

The OOC schedule was set a few weeks ago. All except the date of the Akron game.

Road games at Cincinnati, Pitt and Ohio State will be a challenge for sure.

Akron game has been set 12/17. All that's needed now is there is one game still left to be scheduled. Looking for a home game Dec 19 or 20 to break up a extended time away from Henderson Center. Most likely be filled by a D-2 team unless can find a suitable home-home or a buy home game. As it stands now could go from Dec. 10 til Jan. 5 between home games.
