You'll never, ever break up the MAC. Too staid and set in their droll, Midwestern ways.

i was just "pipe dreaming"

ONE winning season since 1996...... that's one hell of a corner if they are in fact turning it.......... lol
3-9 is a sign of turning the corner??
You clearly implied it.Dear Lord can anyone read?
I said "In Army's defense they lost 7 games by 7 points or less" and then went on to say that depending on the make up of their roster which I know nothing of (ie if they play a lot of freshman and sophomores).. It could be a sign they are about to turn the corner.
Never did I say 3-9 was a sign of turning the corner and never did I say that they ARE turning the corner.

Losing is losing to me and that is all that Army has done for 2 decades is be losers
I'll take ARMY on the home schedule over any MAC team.
I think there's a myth that we need Florida teams to recruit well in Florida. Dino Babers has recruited quite well out of Florida (18 FL players by my count on BGSU's roster) despite playing in a conference that doesn't go south of Athens.
FAU and FIU are teams I don't want to be in a conference with.
color me shocked that you're unable to see things more in-depth than black/white.
I've always been surprised that Villanova isn't 1A/FBS level. Philly is a big city, PA produces a ton of high school talent, Temple is only now becoming a respectable team and program.
You clearly implied it.
Only counts as a P5 against other P5 teams of a particular conference. The Big 10 put a moratorium on playing FCS schools. They then designated certain G5 schools as counting as a P5. The Big XII didn't necessarily do the same.I'll take a game against Army every year because a win over them counts as a P5 win.
If you recall, Army was once in C-USA, They chose to NOT be in a conference. They plan to stay an independent.Oh just drop it already, and move on.
If Army was to make the necessary adjustments, aka the Navy approach, they could possibly be competitive and a good pick up for a conference.
Is that why Air Force has stunk it up in the MWC? Wait, they have winning seasons most of the time don't they. They don't have to be independent to be successful, AF has also proven it doesn't have to be cyclical, Navy has to but for not as long.Army failed in CUSA, and in the course of time (Navy's coach will move on) Navy will drop in quality too. It is all cyclical. They both belong as independents.
agreeIf teams jump again from C-USA, I hope they are not replaced. This league is so washed out from all the previous defections.
