Marshall Almost Great Again...just a play on words to lighten the mood on this Election Day. On a serious note, Doc has this team poised to finish with the highest ranking of any Marshall FBS team. I’d like to see us cover versus UMASS, but don’t see that happening as Doc isn’t one to run up the score intentionally. I’d like to see us put up some Pruett-esque numbers to get the voters attention. Coastal Carolina put up a 51-0 win over one of their conference members.

I honestly think that if the Marshall football team was bussed over to a local daycare, disembarked and immediately proceeded to beat every child in sight to a pulp, we'd get more national credibility as a football team than if we defeated UMass by a number heretofore undiscovered by man.

Now that would be a number!

How much is Marshall paying UMass to come down for the game? I'm guessing minimal, maybe $200k? I'm thinking about wagering one of you as to whether or not they actually show up or not.

My guess for this game is UMass may actually limit MU for a few drives early.

They've had forever to prepare and have nothing to lose. FAU did have more to lose and had better players.

But MU eventually figures them out, makes changes, wins big.

GHMY - most years I would agree w/you - not this year/team! It is going to get ugle early & will not improve for the visitors until the 4th quarter clock reads zeros......

As it is every week, getting off to a good start will be key... Get ahead early and UMass will fold.

The last thing we need is to start slow, let them hang around, gain a little confidence and play a game that appears close (even if its not).

I don't know man. They looked absolutely dreadful against GaSouthern.

Also I know everyone wants to run up the score. I think it's more important that Doc get Zban in for the the entire 4th quarter and get him some live reps. We don't need to be in a Clemson situation where Grant is out for this COVID crap and our backup is rusty. I don't think Luke has thrown a live pass since EKU.

I’m not sure there’s a team left that would challenge this team with absolutely no QB....but I totally agree that Zban needs game reps...and not just handoffs.

After the way he let Zban play against EKU I thought for sure we'd see more of that over the rest of the season when up comfortably.

According to the HD when game was announced, it was noted that the payout would be $100K.

I read a story in a local paper from up there. The writer was very disturbed as to why they would come here for little more than travel expenses when they have one of the larger athletic deficits in America
