Marshall and Boise State moved to Friday, Sept. 25

Good news is they have not wrote off NCAAF. According to some, Herby, fall pigskin is all but gone.

Every HS in the region has 5 months notice to accommodate this ONE date. Do so.

Week night games, including Fridays, are a part of the TV world we live in. Pac 12 does it. ACC does it. THE AMERICAN!!!!!!!!! is the leader in doing it.

The game is not getting moved to be on facebook. CBSSN or NFLN.

If you have a kid PLAYING in a HS game that day, that is sad. If you don't and it takes you more than 0.0000000000001 second to decide between a college game and a HS game, you are not a fan.

If you live out of the region, we are talking a half-day off, or even a day. If you cannot finagle one day off with five months notice, you need to be looking.

Perhaps some out of area folks can't get off/miss work on Friday and thus won't come to town for the game. Change of date, however, does give many out of area folks plenty of time to change their schedule one day, make motel arrangements, etc. Instead of coming in on Friday, attending game Saturday, and then going home late Saturday night or on Sunday, now same folks can come to town on Thursday evening, or even on Friday, going to night game that evening, and then home on Saturday. I have a relative from Atlanta coming in; bumping game to Friday evening not changing his plans.

Nope, I'm not fired up about it at all, in terms of it moving to Friday. Marshall University Football will be on the field, and I will be in the stands, as always. OTHERS have their panties in a bunch over having to miss some high school game. Not me.
