First of all I hope you made it to the Jack last night. What a fun game and there was a BIG CROWD there last night creating a environment I know the boys enjoyed playing in. If you are a HERD fan please make it out tonight at 6 in another huge game against Georgia Southern. The boys need everyone to show up. The weather looks to start late evening. Saturday at two is Senior day. These kids have went through some lean times with the Marshall Baseball program and have stuck it out. They deserve a packed house Saturday at two. Tickets are $3. Bring your family. Invite other families your friends with. Come support these young men and send them off to the conference tournament in a manner they DESERVE!

@sluggo72 would like to have a word with you.
Well let’s see 2019 baseball was 14-15 in the conference so I guess we are back to that point ( throw out the Covid yrs). Plus we played our games where? In Charleston?
Now if you really want to talk improvement let’s talk about the two top 10 finishes for both the men’s and women’s track teams at the SBC championship!!
And don’t forget the men have 2/3 of the points scored coming back! Or said another way 6/9 points!! Oh joy
Women were 10/13
Men 10/10

In 2019 Marshall was playing baseball in CUSA. Other members included Rice who has won a national championship in 2003. Only one CUSA (FL Atlantic) team made it to the 2019 College Baseball World Series and was eliminated in the Athens GA Regional.

I will admit, I don't follow college baseball very much. But isn't the SBL a much better baseball conference than CUSA was in 2019? I would think finishing in a better conference shows improvement or progress? I am listing some links below for your review.

Kudoe to Beals, staff and team. Certainly improved from last year and finished the regular season strong. Finishing in the upper half of the SB is quite an accomplishment for our program. jmho.

compare and contrast what baseball facilities were available in 2019 with what is available today. I'd say Wags out kicked his coverage

Well, Jack Cook took a Marshall team to a NCAA Regional Final losing to Miami at their home field (Miami made it to the Semifinals of College World Baseball Series that year). He also won two Southern Conference championships. His first seven years as coach Marshall was an Independent and he still got Marshall into the NCAA playoffs. Mr Cook didn't have any baseball facilities.

I guess if you are a good coach, you can win with any obstacles.? Coaching matters.
