You may be the most dense person I've ever encountered. Once again, I never said he claimed that he had it hard here in that quote. I did say he made comments that hinted at that. But I was directly responding to you or someone else who said he had it hard here and of course he wants to leave. For someone to say he has it hard here is stupid. He wasn't saying HE HAS IT SO HARD HERE. Christ, why is it so hard for you to understand the context of what was explained to you continuously.
Getting "offended" at anything is a personal issue you apparently have. Get over yourself.
I'll ask again, please provide the links to where he said the things you claim he said. "Blasted the fan base"?? Please provide, otherwise we can assume you've made it up (againIf this is your attempt at humor, you failed. Try harder.
We've already discussed the Htgn sucks mantra you completely made up.
Your words. So if I made up that Huff doesn't like it here, that he thinks Huntington sucks, and that he blasted the fanbase... then I'm a very influential person because there seem to be a lot of people who think he doesn't like it here and has attacked the fanbase. I'll choose my words more carefully.
I'll try to say this one more time. Read it slowly because you still don't have this down and I'm tired of repeating it. So, take a deep breath... exhale... here we go:Again, your poor attempt here at logic is failing. On one hand you think because Huff is highly paid he should be grateful to be here and stick it out without complaining (which he hasn't openly done despite your claims); on the other hand you mock the idea of Huff taking a job that pays considerably more in the football rich, similarly poor region of the country, he and his family apparently favor. Literally the only downside you can point to is "SMiss is a bad program".
I never said coach Huff should just be happy to be here because he's paid well. I said the argument that "of course he wants to leave Huntington, so does all of those people who leave". Because his experience living in Huntington is very different from the rest of us living here. It's not about him just being happy to be here, its the argument that he's just another person choosing to move away like all of the others who leave the state.
Yes, there really is NO STEP DOWN. From the outside, the risk/reward ratio is higher for him to go back south. 1) The family is happy. 2) He turns around a failing program, his stock as a coach skyrocket and he writes a bigger ticket to a bigger program. 3) Even if he fails at SMiss, he has put himself back into the SEC country, connecting/networking with coaches/Universities at bigger institutions that could bring him back as a highly paid assistant (that still pays more than Marshall).
Good point. We really are one of the worst jobs in all of football. In a dying community. Without resources. No one honestly wants to be here. We Should honestly consider shutting the program down. I'm not even kidding.
You guys (you and Herdguy04) have repeatedly claimed I'm negative and find no joy in Marshall that I just like to complain. I've thought a lot about that and what I've realized is that you only know the very little about me from this board. You've never sat with me at a game, you've never talked to me in person. So for you to think you know who I am based on some message board posts is a joke. This is a message board. Some people come here to vent, I don't always come here to vent but it is a fun place to have discussions and debates and when needed vent about Marshall athletics. I've really enjoyed this season, I think its been a lot of fun to see our team make a run at the championship. Whoever the coach is next year I hope that they can bring the fanbase together and that the team, the school, the fanbase can all work together to make this an even more special place then it already is. I hope you guys have a good day and go Herd. gonna log off for a while because this is fruitless.
