Just some history of where our program is currently

Most of us know how bad our program was for many years. Since we turned the corner in the mid 80's we have done well for the most part.

From 1987-1996 1 AA (last 10 years in this division)
10 winning seasons
8 playoff appearances
2 National Championships
4 times Runner Up
3 Conference titles (one shared)
8 10 win or better seasons.

From 1997- 2019 1A (23 years currently )
16 winning seasons
15 Bowl games
12-3 record in bowl games
6 conference titles
5 Top 25 rankings in AP Poll
2 Heisman Finalist
8 10 win or better seasons.

This season we are 7-0 and a conference title is ours to lose. We are currently ranked #15 in the AP Poll.

IMO we are a pretty solid football school

IMO we are a pretty solid football school

Don't forget we had a Biletnikoff Award winner in Moss. It may not be a heisman, but that's a big time accomplishment for a G5 let alone one that had only been back in FBS for one season.

Also Michael Payton won the Walter Payton Award in 1992 which is the FCS equivalent of the Heisman trophy.
