Planning my next trip up to Huntington the weekend of September 12. Looks like the house we're renovating will be livable by them (a working bathroom). I noticed the road game at Ohio is that weekend and that Athens is close by. How hard is it going to be to get tickets at the last minute? Is this considered a rivalry game? Are there game day bus trips from Huntington that I can be a part of? I won't know until the week before if I can make the trip but I'd like to be able to know in case everything works out.

The last two games in Athens, I've been able to buy tickets the day of the game either by scalping tickets or at the ticket office. I know there have been charter buses in the past, but I haven't heard anything this year. And yes this is considered a rival game!

Anytime Marshall plays a MAC school it becomes their superbowl. They are sky high for us, and we have to play well. We get up for S Miss and Purdue, Ohio not so much. Still it's usually a good game, Ohio fans are usually affable, even though the stadium is small it rarely sells out. There have been bus trips in the past.

It's back to the old days, we are the mid major to beat if your a mid major, we get everyone's BEST shot. We can't afford to take any games off. Still it usually makes for good fun watchable exciting games. I'm always amazed we don't sellout every home game with our exciting brand of football , our winning ways, and huntingtons slow paced social life.

Did you just say we don't get up for ohio? The boys sure looked up for it last year, after losing three years in a row! I believe doc gets the boys up for every game we play! There is no reason to act like we are above ohio

We seldom play well in Athens and they tend to play flawlessly against us. Fear this could be a trap game after opening at home with Big 10 Purdue. Coaches will work extra hard to prevent a let-up.

I live in Athens. My advice is to get your tickets early. This will be the first home game of the year and it will be a sell out for sure. The students always show up big for the first home game.Trust me on this one guys.

Just show up game day and pick one up off the ground, in other words you can find all the tickets you need and at less than value. I've been up there ,many times and never bought in advance.

You just proved his point by saying "after losing three years in a row." That is still the trend. We broke it in a major way last year. Let's hope we continue to play full strength against them and come back with a win.

To underestimate this game - played in Athens; is stupid. It will be tough.

I hate it when we act like a game is another team's "Super Bowl." Guess it should have been our Super Bowl as well, because we've lost 3 of 4 against them.
