If you look at the offensive rankings, these teams are extremely similar until you get down to 3rd down efficiency (they're one of the best and we're one of the worst). Pass protection has been pretty similar as well (they've given up only 4 sacks in 5 games - 12th best rate in the country). Between Grainger's athleticism to escape and the quick passing game, it's hard to get to their QB.
On paper, their run defense looks stifling, however, that's a tad bit misleading as they've played against Rhode Island (78th in FBS Rushing Offense), the 94th (UConn), 90th (Charlotte), 88th (Coastal), 54th (Troy) Rush Offenses in the country.
Their pass defense has been UGLY and their 3rd down defense has been just as bad.
Both teams rank in the bottom 25 in the country in Net Punting with Georgia State coming in at #124.
Last year we held this team to 62 net rushing yards on 42 carries (including sacks) - I don't see us having that kind of performance but I do expect us to play improved run defense on Saturday. I'm a little more concerned about Grainger and the quick passing game.
