This will be asked many times in the coming days. ATF said he purchased last week, so I wonder if there was even a 3 day wait when the FFL ran his SSN/DL. Even though he didn't have a criminal record there should be another level of checks when someone has a case file history like his. As soon as his FFL called in the purchase the FBI should have been pinged.
I am not denying there is a link, I just take it with a grain of salt when they take credit for this shit until additional information comes out.

Why? Most Americans with common sense know most radical Islamist are coming here to kill people. Trump has no need to be excited about it because it isn't a "win" for him. Those that don't like Trump will never like Trump nor vote for him regardless.
The paradigm "fail" in this case lies within the typical liberal message of bigoted repubs doing the hating or killing. Evidence of this is blatantly obvious with the current ass covering excuse making now going on......"see...we need more gun laws", in order to once again change the narrative within the media of what actually caused the tragedy. A narrative change that the lap dog media will quickly promote.

The fact is, he wants all immigrants vetted appropriately to keep the bad ones out. That's what his message is. Has he actually said..."All muslims are bad people."?

Right. But it is very hard to tell this distinction sometimes. There are some great Muslim people out there and I've worked beside them for years.
But on a global level their culture is just so different from that of modem western liberal democracies that there is some margin for error in accepting large numbers of them, and whether this big divide in philosophy/culture can ever be bridged in our lifetimes with successful integration into a harmonious society.

I would encourage the gays to get your weapons permit and join the pink pistols. You have a right to defend yourself just as everyone else does.

There should be some sort of redundancy when it comes to a background check for weapons purchases though. This guy had in-person meets with a future suicide bomber among other red flags. So even though he wasn't convicted of any crime he should have been on a wait list at the minimum, and when his name popped up after a FFL check the FBI should be knocking on his door within hours. I don't want to take away anyone's freedoms but this is a failure in common sense and with inter-agency communications.
There is NO mechanism for flagging purple who purchase firearms legally. If there were, the NRA and gun lobby would be losing their collective shit.

Honestly. Guy wasn't a NRA member. He wasn't a white male. He killed gays. Was a muslim. Was a Democrat. FBI couldn't figure out what to do with him. He worked in a security firm with access to federal information.
