Masters week

I am too. Lifelong player and fan.

How about the run Fed has been on lately? Lord have mercy. The guy looks 25 again.

Yes.....What an amazing transformation by quite possibly the already GOAT......A slight adjustment to his game and he's in a position to retake the #1 ranking. Although I'm sure (as Fed pointed out) Nadal is poised for a huge clay season.

Tennis is in a great spot....Just wish we had some US men to pull for. I went to the Sampras - Roddick exhibition last year just to relive a little of that.

I heard rumors Fed may skip the clay court season to focus on grass and Wimbledon.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the top US guys right now. Isner is a one-trick pony and Sock is Roddick-lite - all serve and forehand. Neither will ever win a GS.

I do like Francis Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz, though. They both have top 10 games and may challenge for major titles if they continue to develop.

He said he was taking 6-8 weeks off.......I'd just skip the French if I was him......He even mentioned that playing on clay made his knee feel "weird".

I'd like to see Murray, Joker, Nadal, and Fed all healthy and properly seeded for Wimbledon and the US Open.

Good to hear and good for him.

I hope Nole's time atop the game is over. I can't stand him.

But still....
Still what? Look at the stats and the body of work. Take personal feelings about him out of it.

Do you believe UCLA is the best college basketball program of all time? They have the most titles. I don't think they are. I hate Kentucky but IMO they are the best program of all time.

Same with Tiger. Jack may have more majors. Tiger Woods is the best golfer of all time.

Golf is an individual sport, and it's over a span of a career where major titles determine your place in history. Jack won more than anyone including a major at 46 years old. Tigers place on this list is second and always will be until he surpasses that number, which has always been his goal. I'll say he did have a more impact on the game regarding popularity and TV, but that doesn't make him number 1.

So, are you saying even though UCLA won seven titles IN A ROW & 10 in a 12 year period, that overall they're not the best team of all time? Is your opinion that someone can dominate for a lesser amount of time but maybe people think that shorter run makes them seem better than they actually are in the greater scheme?

If you're of the opinion that a single stat is all you need to determine GOAT rankings - fine - but the key word there is opinion. For most golf fans it's not that simple.

Yes it is, for most golf fans the majors are the only thing that matters. For most sports fans winning the big one is all that matters.
QB's are judged by Super Bowls
NBA, MLB, NHL, all judged by titles, World Series, and Stanley cups.
Golf- it's the majors

Most sports fans are idiots.

If someone truly believes Eli Manning is better than Aaron Rodgers; Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino; or that players like Ovechkin, Barkley, Iverson, Malone, Ewing, Griffey Jr., Ted Williams, Bonds aren't among the greatest to ever play in their respective sports they need to have their head examined.

If you just take the number of times Jack finished second at a major (19) that alone is ridiculously impressive.

I knew he'd miss that putt on 18. Sergio can't putt worth a damn under pressure. I am glad he won though I've always liked him

Sergio is an immensely talented golfer who had some "head" issues along the way. He is a guy really who should have 4 or 5 majors by now. He is hall of fame level talent. He could be a guy that wins a few more if the demons are now cleared.

Neither is a great putter, as evidenced by both using the modified claw grip to putt.

Very happy for Sergio.......Justin Rose is a class act as well. It was a fun afternoon.
