and i'd remind you that you're on the wrong board again, but after checking out the link you posted i see why you are here. it just proves that no one cares about wlu/d2 hoops. there are 41 posts in this thread about our crappy hoops team in 24 hours, compared to the 84 posts in the wlu thread that's been up since march.

I'm here because I am a Marshall fan. I'm not here pimping West Lib, I don't have to do that. Their records and achievements speak for themselves. The fact Marshall refuses to play West Lib also speaks for it's self. You guys keep bringing up West Lib. I simply used them and IUP both as a reference to show that Newberry isn't a good D2 school.
Once again, if you want to believe that then go on. It doesn't matter to me. Facts say that Newberry isn't even an average D2 program.

Marshall would be fighting for a D2 NCAA tournament spot if they were in the MEC so at least the program is improving.

BTW, West Lib averages around 1,500 a game. Good for a D2 school. Crappy for a D1 school. So what is the excuse for the CUSA schools that don't average that?

1,500 would be good for a d2 school, but unfortunately west liberty is lucky to even get 1,000.

marshall could scrimmage each other 30 times and draw more than that.
So riddle me this....if you scheduled Newberry and make a comment like DD did by saying they play a style you'll face some this year, why would you not want your starters in there? Why would you not want them getting the experience of facing a style of play you'll see this year?

Hell, we were lower than D2, numbnuts, that is, NAIA, when we won our only national championship. As for Hammy, well you go right on kissing a picture of his posterior every night when you go to bed, but facts are facts: to date, his abysmal record of basketball hires throughout his athletic director career has not changed at MU. Seen our bb record for last 30 years or so, SUCK, well it SUCKS too. Apparently, that is the level you and other inbred mental dumb ASS#S are perfectly satisfied to accept- -- -making Hamrick's job a lot easier, I suppose.
I'm not sure why you are trying to argue attendance and fan base with a D2 school in the first place. Oh I know, because we just lost to a crappy D2 school and you have nothing else to say.
Kansas averages more fans than we do in football, but Marshall is definitely the better football team and program.
Anyways, I don't care what those numbers say. I actually go to the games. Original seating there was 1200. They now have extra seats on both ends (although each set only holds a few hundred,) plus the area up top for the bigger donors. The place is standing room only more times than not.
Once again, the MEC gets better crowds than some teams in CUSA.

Listen man, I did play sports in high school... and college... and I now coach and i'm now getting my masters degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. And let me tell you this: it doesn't matter! It was an exhibition game, is it concerning? sure. Does it mean we are doomed to be terrible? absolutely not. It's asinine for you to say we would lose to West Lib or any other D2 school by a large margin, based solely off of this loss. At the end off the day this is what makes sports great, any team can beat any other team on any given night. The best team does not always win. And the fact that you believe that losing to a team means that team is automatically better, is incredibly juvenile and simple minded.
